*Accepting New Clients
Life is about assuming roles that guide our journey. Whether that role is partner or significant other, child, parent, full-time student, or any other role we encounter, they make up the substance of our lives. Our experiences can be joyful or sorrowful, easily managed or difficult, fulfilling or empty, satisfying or distressing. I have encountered such demanding times in life and learned seeing things from an alternative viewpoint can restore resiliency. I believe as we develop self-confidence in our personal strength we can overcome our challenges.
I became a therapist because I love working with people. My goal is to collaboratively help my clients identify strengths and develop insight. Together we apply new awareness to foster personal growth. My client focus is individuals & couples in conflict, women going through life transitions and I am a safe space for LGBTQIA+. I endeavor to support my clients in a non-judgmental setting so they can feel safe to explore their vulnerabilities.
I received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Science in Clinical Social Work, respectively, both from California State University, San Bernardino. I am an LCSW and employ a variety of therapy models including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Gottman Level 2 training for couples, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and solution-focused therapy to help clients explore and process these difficult times.
In my time off I enjoy spending time with family, friends and pets. I love, love, love hiking and backpacking; being outdoors is a form of spiritual meditation for me. I also love watching the JAZZ, skiing, massage therapy and relaxing with a good book or movie.
